The Asia Foundation Marks 60 Years
Much has changed in Asia and the world since 1954, but the solid groundwork set by our founders has helped us to evolve as an international development organization and impact countless people across the region. In 2014, we mark our 60th anniversary and remain committed to our mission of improving lives, expanding opportunities, and helping societies flourish all across the region. Our 60th anniversary program will include a year-long, global conversation on the critical issues facing Asia today; special events in the U.S. and Asia; the inaugural Asia Foundation Development Fellows program; expert analysis on In Asia, the Foundation's noted blog; and across our digital and social media channels. Engage with us at #Asia60 as we contribute fresh and inspiring thinking on the future of Asia.
To reflect the integral role we have played in 60 years of Asia's development, we are releasing an interactive timeline of never-before seen multimedia content. Designed as a living document – looking forward and back – the timeline tells a compelling story of international development in Asia from the 1950s to present day while weaving in our milestones and programs in the countries we work in. Read more about the launch of the timeline.
