Trustee Emeritus of The Asia Foundation
Linda Tsao Yang joined The Asia Foundation’s Board of Trustees in 2001. Appointed by President Clinton, Ambassador Yang was the U.S. executive director to the Asian Development Bank in Manila from 1993-1999. During her tenure at the bank, Ambassador Yang was a strong advocate for the quality and the sustainability of the bank’s development assistance. At her retirement in December 1999, Ambassador Yang was presented the Distinguished Service Award by the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Lawrence Summers. Ambassador Yang is currently a senior advisor to Lombard Investments in San Francisco, a private equity investment firm with a focus on Asia, and acting chair of The Asian Corporate Governance Association.
