The factories of southern China are home to tens of millions of migrant women workers, many of whom work long hours under poor conditions to support their families. Asia Foundation partner Shumei Huang, a lawyer who leads the Legal Service Center of the Guangdong Women's Federation, helps women workers understand their legal rights and seek legal redress for workplace abuse and injury, and payment for wages owed.
