Call for Applications: 2026 Fuller Fellowship Peacebuilding

Applications open June 10 – July 12: 2026 William P. Fuller Fellowship in Peacebuilding.
SAN FRANCISCO, June 4, 2026—The Asia Foundation (TAF) is seeking applications for the 2026 William P. Fuller Fellowship in Peacebuilding, its signature leadership development program for emerging peacebuilders from Asia and the Pacific. Three fellows will be selected for a year-long program designed to strengthen leadership skills, expand professional networks, and support their contributions to peace and conflict transformation.
The fellowship is open to early- and mid-career professionals who demonstrate leadership potential and are actively advancing peace through research, policy, advocacy, community engagement, dialogue, mediation, or related fields.
A cornerstone of the fellowship is a two-week study tour and professional exchange in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, and Washington, D.C., from November 10-21, 2026. Fellows will engage with practitioners, policymakers, academics, and civil society leaders working across diverse peacebuilding and conflict-resolution contexts. The program also includes virtual learning seminars through TAF’s Leadership & Exchange programs and a $2,500 professional development grant to support a self-designed project or professional goal
As subnational conflict dynamics become increasingly complex across Asia and the Pacific, there is a growing need for leaders who can bridge divides, foster dialogue, and advance locally grounded solutions. The Fuller Fellowship is designed to equip rising leaders with the networks, knowledge, and support that strengthen their ability to contribute to lasting peace in the region.
Established in 2004 by TAF’s Board of Trustees, the fellowship honors William P. Fuller’s 15 years of leadership as president and reflects his commitment to developing young leaders dedicated to addressing conflict and strengthening peace across the region.
The fellowship is supported by privately endowed funds.
