Emerging Issues - Current Events in Nepal: Elections and Beyond
The Asia Foundation's Representative in Nepal, Mr. Nick Langton, discussed the next steps for the Nepalese parliament following Nepal's historic vote to abolish its 240-year-old monarchy on Tuesday, June 4, 2008. Mr. Langton also discussed the Foundation's role during the elections as observers and its attempts to cultivate civil-military relationships within the new Parliament.
