This report presents the findings of the second national opinion survey of the Cambodian population conducted on behalf of the Asia Foundation. The aim of this nationally representative survey, which is a follow-up to a similar poll conducted in 2000, is to provide detailed information on the knowledge and attitudes of Cambodian voters, so that NGOs and other providers of voter education can more accurately plan their efforts. The survey also repeated a variety of questions from the first survey, which provide measures of the progress of democratization in Cambodia and the impact of voter education projects. A democracy assessment survey.

Indonesia in 2007 is a stable country with a democratic and highly decentralized system of government. Building on the first free and fair elections in 1999, democratic consolidation has occurred through successive rounds of national elections in 2004 and hundreds of local elections since 2005. Moreover, freedom of the press has blossomed, reform of legal institutions has begun to take root, sectarian and separatist conflicts have subsided, and the restructuring of political institutions to make government more democratic and accountable continues. In 2007, Freedom House identified Indonesia as the only fully free and democratic country in Southeast Asia.
